Harbaugh needs to BACK AWAY FROM JOE ALT

This guy loves o-line. He’s addicted to it.

Harbaugh needs to BACK AWAY FROM JOE ALT

  1. Fashanu is starting to get very underrated. While I wouldn’t be opposed to trading back into the mid first we shouldn’t be Alt or die at this point

  2. Chargers taking a LT in hopes that he can make the transition to RT when their current WR core is Quentin Johnston, Josh Palmer, and Simi Fihoko just doesn’t make any sense to me.

  3. I’ve seen it mocked quite a bit, but I’d be pretty surprised if the Chargers took an OT. They have zero WRs anymore.

  4. Any chance we trade up to 5 to make sure we get Alt. That would ensure the Chargers aren’t getting him, and would jump the Giants or anyone else that would trade up into 6. He could be trying to raise the value of the Chargers pick so they can trade back. If I was the chargers I’d trade back to about pick 10-11, get Bowers and then use the additional assets to draft WR.

  5. If alt and nabers are gone I’d do anything to trade back, if we take odunze I’d be mad he’s gonna be such a bust

  6. The Mike Martz scouting video on Joe Alt really scared me. His argument was basically that he wouldn’t take him in the top 10 because he doesn’t show a lot of power in the run or pass game, doesn’t have a good anchor, and doesn’t play with good pad level. Some of that stuff is because he’s 6’9 but “prototypical size” is a thing for a reason, it’s hard to get leverage if you can’t get low and he hasn’t consistently put that on tape. I just don’t think he’s the blue chip can’t miss guy that people are selling themselves on.

  7. Trade back and get your choice of RT.

I don’t see how they can stick at 5 and take OL. They have to get Nabers or trade back.

  8. If they take him, trade back and take Fuaga. Or you get one of Nabers/Odunze if you want them. I’d love any of those 3 guys

  9. Would be surprised if they took OL but I could see them treating Herbert like KC treats Mahomes and let him try and elevate the WR room. Also a deep draft at WR so they could go WR in round 2

  10. If that happens the Titans can happily take an elite WR prospect, or another position of need. The tackle class is very deep. It’s not Alt or nothing

  11. I can’t stand Harbaugh but he knows the foundation starts at qb and oline. You can build out from there.

  12. If they take Alt, i dont see the Giants moving away from Nabers, so that means we are in the prime position to trade away if the vikings want to move up and snag Mccarthy.

  13. The thing that worries me the most is that 3 QBs won’t actually be taken before us. Say QBs only go 1 and 2, I could see the Patriots going MHJ, Cardinals going Nabers, Chargers going Alt, and Giants going Adunze. That’s my nightmare scenario. That’s really the only scenario where I think trading back is the thing to do

  14. I’m surprised at how many people think there is no possibility the chargers take OL at 5. It’s like people didn’t watch Harbaugh devalue the WR position for a decade at Michigan. Will Harbaugh be as extreme in the NFL? Probably not but he has a history of caring less about WRs.
