Solves two problems with one trade.
Pretty good trade from our end, Cruz is a lottery ticket and Rortvedt was a surplus. Little apprehensive about the Rays bump he might get but I don’t think it’ll come back to bite us
The Yankees finding a convoluted way to extend the return for Gary/ Urshela trade tree was just a given wasn’t it
Oh damn. I’m not mentally prepared to see Rort suddenly become Cole’s next kryptonite.

Traded a guy who was going to get released for a guy that might push Cabrera down to AAA once DJ is back.

I can acknowledge I’m getting way ahead of myself but things are going to get awkward if Berti is doing DJ’s job a bit better than DJ.

John Cruz is a 6’3 OF 18 yo with a .907 OPS last year repeating the DSL.. um yea would have rather given an arm, where we have the most depth

Funny how berti is basically a better IKF
Dude hit .294/.344/.748 Ly.. in 133 games. Very fast (led NL in steals 2 seasons ago w 41) and can play almost any position. Perfecttttt bench piece. Experience, speed, bat-on-ball skills and a plus defender.
