  1. Energy Transfer was founded by Ray Davis. At least the colors don’t clash that bad I guess.

  2. First ever World Series Championship and our jerseys are a) a shitty Fanatics product, b) with ads, c) that are crazy overpriced…

    God damn it.

  3. Ugh. Disgusting. Ad patches on sports jerseys are a terrible idea, once I saw it on NBA jerseys I knew it was gonna happen everywhere else.

  4. Guys it was coming no matter what. Let’s just be happy that it’s not some ugly ass orange or yellow patch.

Made the best of a shitty situation

  5. I would buy a jersey with ads if the ads *subsidized* the cost of the jersey. e.g. authentic jersey $250, authentic jersey with ads $150.

  6. Sorry, the best we can do is Michael Lorenzen, we didn’t have enough revenue from our first ever world series team, and upping prices all around. Oh hey, here’s an ad on our jerseys.

Sorry guys, I love this team and last year was magical, but I fundamentally disagree with the Free Agent “strategy” this off-season. Hoping Langford is just Mike Trout at the plate… Because it feels like the 2011 Mavs.

  7. It was gonna happen eventually. I wonder where/if they will put on the ASG patch on the standard jerseys?

  8. Ad patches + Montgomery = ok gross but whatever

Ad patches + still too cheap for JoMo = Disgusting. Hell to the no.

  9. I’m not morally opposed to as patches because I feel like a quarter of the teams are always sporting some kind of tribute patch anyway.

However, MLB should have put strict size and color rules on them. At most they should be 3”, must be round, and they must be recolored to match the team palette.

What I don’t understand is why all these obscure corporations keep paying for the ads. What the hell do baseball fans care about a stupid gas pipeline company? In fact, I’m inclined to hate the company out of spite simply because it’s on the jersey.

  10. I love that the banner link from X has multiple ads showing the ads on the jersey and if you go to it, you get ads.

  11. Good thing I lucked out on Monday at the game. They were selling team issued jerseys from 2021-2023 of guys who are no longer on the team for $75. Snagged a powder blue, and the alternate blue jersey. Sent them off to get unstitched and resewn with seager and Semien names and numbers

  12. Any other year this would be fine but in the year of being defending champs AND hosting the All Star Game we get robbed of seeing those on the right sleeve all year long. Shoulda waited until 2025 lmao. At least these won’t be on any retail replica or authentic jersey.

If you’re dying to have the sponsor patch on your jersey you’ll have to get an authentic team issued jersey instead lol

  13. “The circle patch, which includes ENERGY TRANSER and the company logo, will be located on the right sleeve of all six of the Rangers’ jerseys. On the four home jerseys: white, powder blue, City Connect, and the special gold-trimmed edition for selected 2024 games, the patch will be in Rangers blue (PMS 288). On the two road jerseys: gray and blue, the patch will be in white.”

This kinda dissuades me from getting an authentic jersey now. (edit: not sure if the patches will be on retail)

  14. I know that nobody cares, but I stopped watching the NBA because of the ad patches and I will do the same with MLB. I just can’t take the overwhelming greed anymore.

  15. It was only a matter of time, I just wish it weren’t an advertisement for the company that did the Dakota Access Pipeline. Between this and Pride night, the Rangers are arguably the most evil franchise in the sport.
