  1. Way too much. I would have to imagine the Panthers essentially bid against themselves to get him to sign.

    On to the next.

  2. Clowney was such a perfect fit in a base set. Inside/outside versatility. Would allow McDonald to strictly fill that Huff role. Still need another guy but damn really wish they got this done man

  3. FIRE JD NOW!!!!

(i’m kidding i’m kidding, but you know there are people out there that aren’t kidding)

  4. Time to get our number ONE from last year on the field. Clowney was never coming here.

  5. Meh. That’s a lot of money.

Let’s pickup someone for less, let Will show us if he was worth the pick

  6. We were never going that high. I still think our D-line is good anyway, with or without Clowney.

Good for him for getting one last decent contract, although I have no idea what the Panthers are doing with their defense now lol. Getting rid of Burns and replacing him with Clowney seems not ideal.

  7. went 1/2 with mike will and clowney so ill take it but would have been nice to get him. I am slightly worried about what we will do at edge now cuz it does seem that JD and Saleh have been looking for a run stopper DE pretty badly

  8. He played a lot better than that contract, obviously injuries and age are a factor. Feel like we will be looking at a trade now.

  9. We would’ve had to trade JFM away if we had signed Clowney. I’m totally fine with not signing him. Time for Clemons to step up.

  10. Bit of an overpay that I’m glad we didn’t try to match. Time for the kids to step up.

  11. On positive about JD he can always find a solid d-line UDFA or a camp cut and turn them into a viable starter (JFM and Huff)

  12. Some poor Panthers fan somewhere is thinking “yes! This was the missing piece!”
