Report: Jayden Daniels Will ‘Focus on Throwing,’ Won’t Do Other Drills at LSU Pro Day

No 40 for Jayden today. Probably a smart move by his agent. More to lose than gain by running.

  1. Not going to run and do agility drills the same day he weighs in at exactly 210 after skipping the combine weigh ins?

I’m shocked, shocked I tell you.

  2. Honestly though, what do people need to seem him run for? The guy has shown running and agility is not an issue for him. I think it’s good some of the top talent is pushing back against the dog and pony show elements of the draft. I didn’t blame Marvin Harrison Jr at all for basically saying you’ve all seen me play, draft me or don’t.

  3. Kind of embarrassing for a sitting Heisman winner to go full charade. Is he really that shook about falling in the draft that smoke and mirrors are necessary?

  4. Dude’s been eating buckets of lard for 4 months to get his weight up. He probably can’t even run anymore.

  5. For those interested the NFL network is broadcasting LSU’s Pro day tonight at 8pm ET.

  6. Daniels speed is overblown anyways if Brian Kelly’s words are to believed. His top speed was clocked at 21mph at a LSU spring practice, which usually falls in the 4.5 to 4.6 range.

  7. You have to remember these kids already have agents, and they are advising them not to do these drills. We can’t see into those conversations but let’s not just imagine the only reason is because they don’t want to do those drills.

Also, very much agreed that top of the draft players have little to gain and much to lose by doing these.

  8. It’s funny everyone here knows how to spot the difference between 10 pounds, on camera, with football pads on.

  9. If you’re 6’3 list you’re weight? I wanna know what keyboard warriors weigh compared to college athlete

  10. Maye lovers/Howellers crying about JD weighing 210lbs….. I cant wait to see the crying tmrw when Maye looks sloppy lol

  11. Who cares……I’m not really sure why this even matters…. Plenty of QBs play in the 200 – 220lb range….are we looking for a reason not to draft him? ……remember when Stroud scored poorly on the pre-draft testing? Not sure it really matters if you can play ball….
