So I listened to the Abbott & Costello “Who’s On First?” skit for the first time last night. Today I found this diagram regarding the skit that’d help clear up any confusion.

  1. ” Not the pronoun, but rather a player with the unlikely name of “Who” is on first.”

  2. Yes, well, that’s just great, Seymour. We’ve been out here 6 seconds and you’ve already managed to blow the routine.

  3. I wish I could find the Slovin and Allen special where they do this skit with the names of actual Yankees players

  4. This diagram is what it’s felt like following the Tigers in recent years lol. Optimistic about last/this year, though!

  5. All-time comedy bit. I show it to friends sometimes and it still cracks everyone up all these years later. Those guys were legends.

  6. When I was a child, my uncle and grandfather did this to me for almost a half hour straight. It got to the point where I was crying because I was so confused. They still bring it up to this day. They always say that they feel bad when reminiscing. But they also always laugh so IDK how bad they actually feel. Honestly it is pretty funny looking back on it. I actually really love the skit despite how I first learned about it.

  7. I know they probably performed it a million times but it’s amazing to have seen and heard so many renditions of it without any fuckups or slips or hesitation.

  8. God, how did a first baseman not do “WHO” as their name on that stupid Players’ Weekend promo. Would have salvaged the whole thing.
