1. Good for him, but glad we moved on. Outside of Jordan (and Runyan to a degree), that 2020 class was a mess. Thank god Love hit eventually.

21. The deep failure of the 2020 class is why I’m not willing to buy into Gute as an elite GM just yet. The 2023 class really saved him from a lot of scrutiny and that’s just the last half of this season. Before that, we looked like a train wreck.

We used to bag on the concepts that MLF ran with him/Tonyan etc (TE Speed, Pin/Pull Sweep), but then to see them executed well by Kraft/Musgrave made me just think that he MLF didn’t have the right personnel to do exactly what he wanted. Hopefully Josh Jacobs finds similar “fit” success in the old Shanahan system.
