  1. I think the craziest Brady injury was back in like 2002-2003 when he had some sort of abdominal hernia that caused his balls to swell to the size of oranges and he played through it.

  2. You mean he doen’t roll on the ground in pain for 5 minutes so everyone can praise him when he comes back in mostly fine, like some players do to get more praise and look better?

  3. I was nervous about Jules spilling these beans. Hiding injuries could be detrimental to Tom, revealing then after they’ve been hidden could get someone in trouble or something.

  4. No other sports star in human history was better at leveraging acute anger and who knows what other inner turmoil into measured and effective action that overcame all genetic and temporary physical limitations.

  5. It’s absolutely wild to categorizing twenty years as a “stint.”

That’s like— if the United States government collapsed tomorrow and was replaced by a tribal council led by Julie Chen, Jeff Probst and the bloke from *The Amazing Race*, and people referred to over two hundred years of history as “americas stint as a democratic republic”

  6. That’s why the team was so pissed at Jimmy G for not wanting to play with minor injuries because they were used to Brady being out there, even if his arm was hanging off.
