  1. IMO would be a great addition to give us some extra WR depth as Mike Williams eases back in from his injury.

  2. I find this whole thing very interesting. I thought when they removed the retirement designation that a move was imminent, but he hasn’t either resigned with us or signed with another team.

I wish we knew more if this was a serious thing he was considering.

Maybe it’s something we know is happening and we are waiting until after the draft?

  3. I know I’m out of the loop here, however what was the reasoning to why he decided to “retire”? Did that ever come out or did it remain private ?

  4. CD a CAPTAIN. The younger players love the guy. It’s a no-brainer for Jets to get him back in the building. Phenomenal as a depth piece at this stage.

  5. I’m sorry but does anyone else think that its not necessarily in the Jets best interest to welcome back a guy who was a disappointing FA before he abruptly retired from football?

These are a LOT of red flags but we’re pretending like its normal that he comes back and potentially joins the Jets?

  6. lets make the assumption the jets go OL at the first round.

with GW’s rise to being a true WR1, CD would be a fantastic WR2, leaving lazard as the WR3 as he should’ve been in the first place. conklin is a solid option overall, and the ultimate hope is that gibson could take a bigger step and take the WR3 /slot role.

quick edit: i’m a dumbass, i completely forgot the jets signed mike williams. point still stands when he inevitably gets injured.

  7. I think they probably told him “if we don’t go wr round 1 we’re bringing you back, but if you find a better offer before take it”.

  8. If CD comes back we’ll have the 3rd (Solly Thomas) 5th (CD) and 7th (Mike Williams) overall picks in the 2017 draft, with the 6th overall having been Jamal Adams.

  9. I’d love him back but I did see something saying he wanted to be closer to home in Tennessee. Also he’d be at best a WR3 here, maybe a WR4/5 if Rome ends up falling to us and Lazard gets back to form with Rodgers back (tho I think CD is a better player regardless)

  10. seriously, we should never post ML football here. BS aggregator and this sub should know better.
