  1. Let’s say we did trade Kyler, draft his replacement at 4, and the best WR at 27 (fuckbthe texans immediate success).

    Which qb do we want?

  2. Tannenbaum is a failed GM who would 100% do this trade. If he was good he’d be in the NFL in some capacity, but he’s not lol he’s a hack

  3. We are heading into another QB recession we saw around 2010~. Nobody is going to trade away their QB for nothing.

Too many teams need a starter.

  4. If we wanted to replace kyler, he wouldn’t have played again last year. We’d have pulled a Russel Wilson, sat him for the season, let Tune finish out the year which likely would have led to a 1-16 record and the first overall pick, and taken Caleb Williams.

The only reason you start Kyler is you think you’d rather have him and a high draft pick then start over with Caleb, and Kyler did nothing to make his valuation drop with his performance last season, if anything he proved just the opposite, that he can be successful under Gannon, and even with out a WR1.

To not only start Kyler, but watch him play well, and yet *then* turn around and reach on an extremely iffy QB prospect (which is whats going to be left by the time we’re picking) would make no sense whatsoever. We’d have downgraded the quality of QB prospect we had access to for no reason if we weren’t going to stick with Kyler regardless of how he played.
