His throwing motion definitely isn’t as fast or come off as smoothly as Daniels, but there’s some serious power behind it.. I think I’m ready to tune out of this discussion for the next two weeks and see who Peters believes in more lol
Kid’s got a cannon.

Got some developing to do. Major risk if we do take him
He reminds me of Blake Bortles
His ball placement is so good. He definitely is the right pick at 2
Admittedly, I’ve been on the Maye bandwagon the whole time, and I think he had a good pro day. Accuracy on deep shots, and while he doesn’t have the fastest/smoothest release he’s got velocity on tap. He’s still got some footwork to sort out (the throw at 7:50 he’s completely crossed himself up) but the ball gets there.
what a cannon
but missing wide open receivers with no actual pressure from a d lineman……3 times…….thats wild
The long balls look effortless. Foot work looks better, other than one or two sloppy/lazy steps where he ties himself up. The receivers helped him out quite a bit.
I’m on board with either DM or JD, but both should sit the first year and learn. We’re always so quick to rush them out there only for them to get smacked around and lose confidence.
I think the NFL blocking playback because they want to monopolize views is an unrelated topic that mildly irritates me(on browser BTW)
Can’t show off pocket presence in a pro day and I think he has the best ability to stand in the pocket out of all the QBs.
Slow release
I think this is the guy
Great name.
( what do I know about releasing the ball )
This sub is so funny. Ranges from “Looks sloppy and has a slow release, will be a bust” to “looks elite and rips the ball”
Watched it and all I learned is pro days are dumb, other than our coaches/front office meeting with the players
The kid has got a cannon
Still wish there was a DB on the WR on some of these throws
It’s interesting…there are posts on here about how good Jayden Daniels looked at his pro day. Because he’s a very realistic option for us. Vikings reddit, however, mostly says it was a bad pro day and they’re out on Daniels. But they’re also IN on JJ McCarthy who has been ranked as the inferior prospect to Daniels all offseason. Well, that’s because they don’t have a chance to draft Jayden Daniels, but potentially could draft McCarthy, so that makes sense even though NFL scouts and GM’s don’t agree. Because It’s purely emotion-based and they have talked themselves into that. I’ve been a Drake Maye guy fan from day 1, if the draft was tomorrow I hope that would be the pick. But my point is, pro days don’t (and shouldn’t) move the needle.
