  1. Imo this sounds big but I don’t think anyone should take this too seriously, any coach would go up to bat for their guy and wants them to go as high in the draft as possible.

    His comparison to Lamar is a bad one. Jackson is very good at avoiding hits, while Daniels is reckless.

  6. So I know the two prevailing theories out of this will be that Washington told him they’re taking him and it slipped out OR he’s trying to blow some smoke up JD.

    Wanted to interject a 3rd— which is that Washington told him they’re taking JD, but he knows how the business works and is putting the pressure on them to take him.

  9. I find it hard to believe Brian Kelly knows anything. He’s probably just talking his guy up, wants him drafted as high as possible.

    Now on the off chance he really does know and said this as a fact it would be hilarious.

  12. I know people go to bat for their guys, but this doesn’t feel like it. This feels more like a slip, the way he kinda tails off the “for Washington” it wasn’t emphatic or anything.

    This could also just be me as a Drake Maye believer reading way too far into it. More moldeable, much younger, more suited to sitting for a year to learn. I do think both will be good though.
