[Do] Royce Lewis says the feeling in the quad hasn’t changed much since he left the game, and the Twins are getting MRI results. Royce was somehow still smiling and geeking out about how cool his first Opening Day was, already looking ahead to having fun when he gets healthy.

  1. Of course he’s smiling. The guy smiles through all the hard times. He deserves to play this game unencumbered so badly 😭😭😭

  2. Hopefully it feels good enough where he can at least DH in a couple days and run similar to how he did in the playoffs. Don’t think the Twins would allow that this early in the season but you never know

  3. He also said it still feels like a cramp, so that means it’s probably closer to a strain than a tear

  4. Royce Lewis quote “I lost my left arm at the elbow but I’m looking forward to playing tomorrow. I just am having so much fun.”
Not a reliable source for how healthy he is.

  5. Let’s hope it’s just a cramp. I’m sure the Twins will be ultra cautious regardless, but if it’s a cramp we can work with that.

Unfortunately Royce didn’t notice that he tore his ACL when that happened, so I’ll trust the MRI machine.

  6. We can deal with a short IL stint, a tear would be heartbreaking. Hopefully it’s just cramping or a strain since he can still feel it.

  7. Is one full year of the Chosen One too much to ask for? Please let it be a minor issue. Baseball gods… Please shine your light on our baby boy.
