Yeah, the kids are alright
When Branham plays well, it just seemingly elevates the whole team.
Good to see him hold the lead and hit those huge triples in the 3rd while Wemby was resting
Branham hasn’t taken the leap I thought he might this year, but I hope people remember to keep in perspective how young he is. It’s not the least bit uncommon for 20-year-olds to have absurd peaks and valleys across a season where sometimes they look like legitimate future building blocks and sometimes they look like they’ve never shot a basketball before.
Games like this show the potential is there. Think he’s got some confidence details to work out between the ears, but the kid undeniably has a stroke.
Apart from the big 3, he is the one im most hopeful about on the roster. He needs to lift the floor of his performances to be more consistent but games like this show what he could be. 3pt shooter, good size, can attack the close out player and even pull up and shoot a middy and look comfortable doing all of it.
