Oh no, we suck again!
I’d say things can only go up from that game, but I’m not sure how confident I am in that statement.
Oh we are so back baby
That still only counts as one!
Fire Malone
I turned it off after they had already put up 12 in the 3rd. We came back, right?
[THAT STILL ONLY COUNTS AS ONE](https://youtu.be/CAdkKQ6-6wo?si=1GN-Uc3BLvrelvPl)
If there are any positives:
a. At least we only scored 1 and would’ve lost anyway, we didn’t “waste” a good hitting outing.
b. [Last time](https://www.espn.com/mlb/game/_/gameId/401472160) this happened we won the series!
That was certainly one of the baseball games of all time.
I think in bananaball that’s only a 2-1 loss right? Rockies win 1 inning and snakes won 2?
2023 Rockies: we can’t get any worse right?
2024 Rockies: hold my beer
Oof so close
Welp, that was a fun season.
Vintage Rockies. Perfection.
LOL … we just got our first **”That’s baseball!”** from Buddy during the VERY brief post-game press conference. 😅
Back end of the bullpen kept things under control, even if the snakes had their B team in by then.
It’s going to be a long season anyway, but it will unendurably long if we’re gonna have to keep putting lipstick on the pig for 162
If Bud Black says “that’s baseball” in the postgame, I’m getting a vasectomy and enlisting
Technically speaking they hung around and played equally for like 89% of the game
While that was a brutal first game, I’d like to point out a couple of positives:
-McMahon looks locked in at the plate
-Tovar is a defensive wizard
-Beeks & Mears were effective out of the pen
None of these things excuse a historically bad opening, but it’s a long season and I refuse to be crushed to the point of apathy on opening day! That’s more of a late April/May thing…
Moral victory
Does anyone still follow this team? Like actually follow them?
Why wouldn’t you pull a guy after ER #3 or 4 or so in a single inning instead of letting it stack up so far? After hit, hit, walk, hit, they left the poor guy out there for another 4 hits
“Other than the third inning, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play?”
