  1. I’d say things can only go up from that game, but I’m not sure how confident I am in that statement.

  2. I think in bananaball that’s only a 2-1 loss right? Rockies win 1 inning and snakes won 2?

  3. LOL … we just got our first **”That’s baseball!”** from Buddy during the VERY brief post-game press conference. 😅

  4. Back end of the bullpen kept things under control, even if the snakes had their B team in by then.

It’s going to be a long season anyway, but it will unendurably long if we’re gonna have to keep putting lipstick on the pig for 162

  5. If Bud Black says “that’s baseball” in the postgame, I’m getting a vasectomy and enlisting

  6. While that was a brutal first game, I’d like to point out a couple of positives:

-McMahon looks locked in at the plate

    -Tovar is a defensive wizard

-Beeks & Mears were effective out of the pen

None of these things excuse a historically bad opening, but it’s a long season and I refuse to be crushed to the point of apathy on opening day! That’s more of a late April/May thing…

  7. Why wouldn’t you pull a guy after ER #3 or 4 or so in a single inning instead of letting it stack up so far? After hit, hit, walk, hit, they left the poor guy out there for another 4 hits
