At the beginning of the year that’s just a quick dump and change. He’s so much more confident and sure of himself now.
This guy is gonna be a menace
He’s like if Josh Anderson had elite hockey sense/puck skills
I like how he spun the defenseman around and the contact didn’t change his momentum. He’s so massive and rock solid on his skates, it must be like trying to bodycheck a train
That’s going to be a very hard move to stop. The defenseman missed the poke check because Slafs reach is so long and he’s too big and heavy to get knocked off the puck.
He has done that on a few occasions this season. Great to see the power.
What if the Slafcaufki line becomes something akin to the West Coast Express? Add Dach, Roy and whomever they pick in the top ten, that could be dangerous.
That’s a nice rush, but against a forward. A good defenseman would have been skating backwards earlier and give more space on the zone entry to keep Slaf in front of them.
But it’s a glimpse of the menace Slaf could be with just a notch more speed. If he picked up more steam in the neutral zone, it wouldn’t have mattered who was the D because Slaf would have beaten them on the outside with speed, power and reach.
