  1. I guess we will already be over 200 injuries days starting the season with Cole, Peraza, DJ and Dominguez already on the list.

  2. Do they have to fill that spot now or can they leave it open?

Dont see a lot of people on Fangraphs that make sense to add that have options unless they want it for continual DFA spot.

  3. There was no way he was going to be back sooner than this, so it’s a very predictable move.

  4. He was always expected to miss 60 days even without a tear/needing surgery

He had no real ST, after all, so he’d need to ramp up again.

This just opens up a roster spot/allows him to take his time. We shouldn’t expect him back earlier than….June?

  5. Funny how everyone knew this was coming but it still hurts me to my core to see “Cole” and “60-day IL” in the same sentence

  6. So last week of May. What’s the issue? Haven’t they been thinking June 1 or so?

  7. OK so Cole went for it last season and is paying for it now? Is that narrative correct? Cuz that’s what it seems like. Makes sense, he pitched incredibly last season. A career year. Worth it? I’m not so sure… Inevitable? Maybe.
