For what?
Why would we really want to make the playoffs this season? For a 4 game sweep? We’re better off trying to get a decent draft pick that we could either use as trade bait or just draft up a player for the future. The remainder of this season should be about figuring what to assets to keep and what to get rid off in the offseason.
I think I’d rather the top 10 pick than the playoffs at this point. There’s a lot wrong with the team at this point in time, and those issues won’t be dealt with till this summer, at least I hope they’ll be dealt with. It’d be better than getting beat in 4-5 games honestly
It would take a miracle on our end and a collapse on at least two other team’s ends simultaneously. And for what?
So annoying that they’re going to do the absolute worst thing possible and play themselves out of the top ten/first round pick but also not make the playoffs
My hope is that Jake lights up the flyers in the first round
Caps and Flyers need to fully fall apart which is very possible. Pens would seem likely to have tiebreaker in ROW so just need to tie them. But still a very very low chance

Why would you want to see this team in the playoffs? And I’m being serious. At this point that would hurt us long term and would be the hockey equivalent of a turtle in a fence post. I love the boys but we just need to accept reality.
The only way this team makes the playoffs is if they win out on the season and other teams lose most of their games. If that happens, then sure. A team on a killer win streak like that could make some noise in the playoffs. They’re not gonna win out the rest of the season, though.
Let’s just get the top 10 pick, no need to run ourselves out of it for a shitty playoff miss and miss a good pick
