Rodriguez says Glen Taylor Not Allowing Him and Lore to Talk To T-wolves Players and Staff

Has to be the wildest thing I’ve heard yet on this saga. But it’s just amazing how much a couple smart trades and intense work from the guys on the court can change. To the tune of billions, apparently

  1. There really is people shilling for Glen Taylor on Twitter right now. Think of how quickly things have improved with them and then think of wanting to go backwards to the safety of Glen Taylor.

  2. I never understood how important hood ownership was before Lore and Arod. I thought owners were just exorbitantly rich people who really enjoy the sport and also see the team as just another investment in their portfolio.

As it turns out, in just a couple seasons of having GOOD owners advocate for the team, we saw the domino effect of how going after Tim Conelly (someone Glen thought wasn’t worth the time to recruit) has dramatically improved the team. Not only did TC put together the Rudy trade, but Glen would have vetoed it whereas Lore and Arod pushed for it to happen. TC trading DLo for Mike and NAW is insane value and we would definitely be a lot closer to the Play-In than the #1 seed.

In just a couple of years, these new good owners have helped bring this franchise out of its perpetual darkness and now Glen shuts them out completely. It’s so unfair and it just goes to show how the past 20 years were not just the Wolves getting unlucky. Glen made bad hires as part of his good old boy club which has held this franchise down for decades.

Knowing now the devastating impact he’s had on this franchise and the fact that now he’s trying to pull the rug out when we finally crossed over to the winning side is making me truly hate this man.

  3. Lore and Rodriguez still own like 40%. The only reason Taylor wouldn’t let them in is because he knows he’s wrong and will be facing an inevitable legal battle.

Truly astounding that Taylor would put the fans and organization through this.

  4. I’m so confused- can he legally forbid them from talking to staff and even players?

  5. I don’t care for either party as ownership (for separate reasons), but Lore and Arod own 40% of the team. How can Glen legally kick them out of facilities and cut off communication?

  6. Btw-Debt Funding (also referred to as debt financing or debt lending) is a way for a business to raise capital through means of borrowing. This funding will need to be repaid at an arranged later date, usually through regular repayments with added interest.

  7. What I don’t understand is how Taylor expects this to continue? They own ~36-40% of the team based on reports and you’re just icing them out? Even if you just try to continue along with Taylor in charge you have to buy them out at a premium. You can’t just have a 40% ownership stake and not be welcome to be around the team. How toxic even if that for thinking about it. I hate Glen Taylor so much.

  8. Bulls fan in the east. Wolves fan in the west.

Grew up a Timberwolves fan/going to the Target Center for all events including watching KG all those years. Remember Big Al Jefferson? Then some slight promise with KLove and Rubio? All to fall on KAT with not much else. Now starting to taste success… Glen wants the team back!

Glen Taylor is what holds this franchise back. Personally, I think he lucked into being a billionaire. I think it’s clear fresh thinking is what is behind this surge in success and being able to bring in talent on a discount (ARod/Lore).

I doubt AE will want to remain in Minnesota if Glen takes over full control again. Remember how KG said Glen was a snake? Shit is getting slithery.

  9. I was lucky enough to have attended several inaugural Wild games where the chants of “Norm Green sucks! Norm Green sucks!” were loud and proud. Not advocating for that here, but just saying that it sure would be funny.

  10. Any conspiracy theorists out there wondering if the stolen external hard drive from Gupta is in any way related to all of this?

  11. arod missed a deadline, contract broken. he gets his money back with premium or stays minority owner. more likely gets money back with premium unless he can come up with 2billion +that the team is worth now

  12. Taylor grasping at straws trying to maintain control. It’ll be so satisfying when the sale goes through.

  13. If the league dont gives approval- chances Ant wants out as soon as this offseason. What do you guys think?
