I don’t think it’s that the fans don’t show up I think to many damn Yankees live in tampa
I also wonder if a lot of the season ticket holders are like my brother in law. He roots for the Lightning except when they play Boston (yeah I know, I hope he steps on legos too). I really wish they would just go home.
Oh please, try going to a game in the early 2000s where it was 70% red and 30% blue

Detroit is a shithole so they all live in Tampa
It’s always been like this. Whenever we play the top 8 most popular teams (i.e. Rangers, Bruins, Penguins, Blackhawks, Red Wings, Maple Leafs, Canadiens, Oilers), there’s always gonna be those fans that show up in droves in every away arena. Even teams like the Flyers, Devils, and Capitals are like this to a degree.
