He’s not wrong but this mf needs to critique his play calling in the third quarter. Really had the nerve and go up on the podium talking about “I wouldn’t do anything different” after he blew it once again despite a top 10 QB and a stacked roster 🙄
Honestly I think our basic ass 4-3 defense is outdated. It only works when our offense sustains drives and lets our front 4 rest for most of the game.
Keep in mind that our best O-lineman was drafted in the 3rd round (Eric Williams). Great players are found in all rounds of the draft, and it’s about how good your scouting is, AND how the player fits your system. You could have 10 ‘top’ tackles go in the first couple of rounds, and none of them matches the style of play your team needs or wants. This happens all the time.
Looking at other positions, we drafted Hafunga based on how he fit our team and system. We did the same with Brock (everyone passed on him, but we liked enough about him that we used a pick on him rather than risk him going to FA).
I’m confident the experts that have built this team know what picks (or trades) are the best value in the upcoming draft. I’d love to see Niners grab a DT or DB early. But if the right OT or C falls, grab that.
Our run defense did was not great last year, I want to hear more about what is going to to be done about our offense which has underperformed in the playoffs and more specifically the Super Bowl. You can’t expect to win a Super Bowl scoring 19 against Mahomes. Kyle has been there 3 times (2 x with 49ers, 1 with Atlanta) and his offense hasn’t put up more than 21 pts. What are you going to do about that? Maybe put more into the Oline. Consider getting personnel than can do a power run game as well. Have the QB be responsible for setting the protections. If we are going to pay Brock next year, let’s put more on his plate and see what he can do with more responsibility like the top QBs.

Lmao he shouldn’t be talking, critique your run game scheme and situational awareness. His ability to abandon the run at the worst times is second to none at this point.

I’m glad others are starting to see Kyle’s inability to take accountability for even the slightest mistake. Even when he does finally cop to something he always spins it to take less of the blame. I am yet to see Kyle really come out here and say “my bad. I screwed up.”
