2. Earlier in the game thread i said who the hell cares. I need to retract that because i did not realize that this win was not only a season series sweep, but also it pretty much guarantees that they have no chance of making the playoffs. At this point if any two of the flyers, red wings, or capitals win just 3 games the rest of the season then the devils are out even if they go 6-0 to finish. Good, fuck em.

5. Wanna here something funny? I made a comment over the summer saying the Devils were: “Offseason Stanley Cup Champions” and I was downvoted for it and told by the 12 year old Devil fans that sound like “People Pay to Watch Me Play” that I was an idiot.

    Florida is 7 points behind us, they’re not catching us

    Boston is 3 points back, and Carolina is 5 points back with a game in hand.

    However, Carolina and Boston **play each other twice** from now until the end of the year.

    This is both a good and bad thing. Good because both of them can’t win, bad because both of them can’t lose. Ideally they split the games and cap both of their ceilings.

    Ultimately if we finish 4-2ish we will definitely be fine in this regard, and even 3-3 should get the job done.

    No one got injured and they won the game and did so in regulation. Today went splendidly

31. We were there with the worst Jersey fans behind us. Guy chirping and also loudly narrating every single play to his girlfriend who didn’t know anything about hockey. But he was mostly wrong. (I don’t think he understands hockey?) It was one of the most satisfying wins tbh.

33. With all of the other things going on, I want to call out **Vesey, Goodrow, Trouba, and Miller** for standing with Rempe tonight.

    Obviously it sucks that those 4 got kicked out, but it wouldn’t sit right with me to send out a 21 year old rookie obligated to fight one of the best fighters in the league and have all these vets just standby. I’m sure the kid appreciated the veterans going to battle with him.

    That’s what good teammate and leaders do. Those are the vibes you want going into the playoffs.

36. Lavi basically confirmed in his post game that the line brawl was all on the Devils. They apparently had no idea that it was going to be all 5, that’s probably why Lavi was pissed on the bench.

37. Instead of rotating players to rest, from now on why don’t we just rotating guys have a 5 on 5 brawl every opening minute, 4 guys get to relax the other 14 pick up the slack.
