Looking at least year’s mocks. Thank God we didn’t get this

  1. I genuinely thought tyree was going to be great, glad I’m not gm. I will say he played solid when kicked inside I think he can still become an impact player

  2. As much as Nabers or Odunze would be great at 9, the whole “blue chip” type player is not always guaranteed for high impact. Would be fine to trade down into late twenty’s and get a second rd plus a 4th. Then get Adonai with 1st rd and edge like Brasswell with 2nd rd.

  3. Had high hopes as well for him, was always a luxury pick at 9 due to more pressing need at OL.

With how perceived deep the OT spot was last year he was option 3 or 4 for most mocks. Was generally PJJ, Wright, Skoronski or Jones generally selected.

  4. I think he’ll be much better this year. He had a foot injury that plagued him most of the year last year. If healthy, I think he’ll start living up to his potential

  5. Hey, well the Texans could have had him over Stroud….

Guess they dodged that bullet, or thank god that “mock drafter” wasn’t working for their organization…

  6. This is case and point why we should never believe the “experts” (aka media GMs) mocks. They don’t do the real due diligence and get it way wrong. Not to say that “real” GMs are perfect, of course.

  7. I would caution anyone on taking victory laps good or bad early on 99% of prospects. Wilson started the year injured and had some solid games later on. Maybe he ends up a giant bust, but the story on him could be completely different on him in 2 years.

  8. After one season, we’re thanking God we didn’t a player? I hate you, people.

  9. He ended the year pretty strong. Came on late. He was also hurt last year. Don’t write him off.
