That game flew by, only 2 hours and 18 minutes long. It’s crazy to think this exact same game would’ve been 3 hours long 2 years ago.
So: Matz looks really good so far. Idk how he got away with a lot of those middle-middle sinkers but if it’s working, I’m for it
Surprised Nolan has a 7-game hit streak. It doesn’t feel like it. I think people are over exaggerating, he’s still producing
Am I worried about some of our hitters(aka Gorman and Walker)? A little. But as long as we’re winning, I’m fine. When it comes down to it, though, when we need them, will they produce?
Goldy is off to a slow start. Pretty much his MO. Hot weather changes him.
Masyn looks goooooooood
Herrera looks goooooooood
Burly’s line drive hit looked great. I’ll take his lucky single all day too.
Scott’s defense is fantastic. Hope he can get some good swings in before Tommy is back (no timeline on that yet)
Bullpen looking good.
Defense looking really good. Guys are playing hard out there
God the Marlins are awful.
That’s a winner!
5-4 90 win pace! 4-1 against non super teams!
Winning series openers (and series’ in general) is so important for this club

Missed the game due to work, but happy to see we won again! Go Cardinals!!
Jordan Walker seems so smart. Maybe not Tommy Edman smart, but every interview I hear by Walker I’m more impressed.
5-4 baby!!!!
i like how hels is coming in and giving really brief shutdown appearances. only six pitches needed for the ninth today. exactly what we want if we want to make the best use of him.
If Scott was two years older, Mikolas would have a perfect game that’s all I’m saying
the two furthest hit balls of the day by avisail garcia and bryan de la cruz had .810 and .610 xBA respectively, and VSII caught both of them.

Let’s trade for Trevor Rogers in June. He pitches fairly well today.
winning in weird ways with production from parts of the lineup you dont really expect.
I know it’s the Marlins but I’ve been impressed with how we’ve looked since going 0-2 against LA. Such a nice change of pace.
We will never lose again
Whoa whoa whoa, so you’re telling me that we’re now officially over .500???? But I was told we would suck..?
Ha, love for the birds to back it up. Fuck the naysayers. Every one of y’all, respectfully fuck off. This is a damn solid ass team and I’m happy to be a Cardinal!
2024 NLC crown is ours by October.
This hasn’t been the most exciting team to watch so far, but I appreciate that they have really righted up the fundamentals like defense and base running this year. Here’s to hoping the pitching continues to stay solid and our bats start to heat up a little.
Honestly i feel bad for Skip Schumaker he got manager of the year last year and now he is off to a 0-9 start i hope he doesn’t lose his job because of a terrible start like this he seems like a good manager but his players don’t seem to want to win badly enough.
This team will continue to prove that 2023 was the flukiest season of modern Cardinal history. I don’t think it was hard to see why, but for a lot of people it seemed to be. I think this team is going to make a lot of loudmouths finally zip it up. Take a break from the wallowing and the spewing, swallow your pride, sit back and let’s enjoy some good fucking Cardinal baseball for the next few days.
If anything, this team has showed they’re for real. Even if they go through a slump and lose some progress (which WILL happen), that does not erase the quality of this team. They’re damn solid. Im sure there’s a few people refraining from commenting until we lose again, y’all will get your chance. But at some point y’all will have to admit you were wrong about this team.
Let’s get a sweep tomorrow, boys!
This rotation looks sooooo much better than last year. I just hope that Thompson can find his groove.
Overall I’m just happy with how much more coherent this team is.
Last year the team kept inventing ways to lose. Monty would pitch a gem and the offense wouldn’t show up. The offense would explode to score 11 runs, and Waino and the bullpen would hemorrhage 12 runs to the other team. Maybe we finally get close to a win and Helsley would blow it.
This year, everyone is actually in sync.
I am now down in Dallas for an eclipse where I will apparently see fuck-all on Monday.
What should I do with Sunday to kill in this town? Thinking about seeing the Rangers.
starters are 5-0 in the last 9 games with a sub 2.00 ERA
Currently the best Division in Baseball… The NL Central!

#imagine losing to the fucking cardinals
