Everyone needs to calm down and realize we played tonight with a backup goalie who hasn’t been the best lately
que sara sera, I’m watching the oilers game and that’s it. The doom and gloom on this sub is tiresome.
As long as idiots stop jinxing them with any more ‘Canucks can clinch________with a win tonight’ They might stand a chance.
.931 PDO against LA in the 4 games we’ve played against them over a 5-week span with the highest amount of Expected Goals for (8.55) out of all 31 teams in the NHL who we’ve played as well as the 6th highest xGF% (60.25%) out of the 31 teams we’ve played in the league. 2nd highest if we’re only counting playoff teams. Jets barely lead our highest xGF% among playoff teams this season with 60.84%.
Also, the Coyotes have scored 27 goals in the last 5 games, including a franchise-record 6 goals in the 3rd period alone against Vegas the other night. One of those 5 games was when we beat them 2-1 the other day in a game that should have realistically been a shutout for Silovs. Keep in mind that they couldn’t muster more than 8 shots against us in the first two periods of the game, yet here they are scoring 5 goals against NYR, 8 goals against Nashville, and then 7 more goals against the defending champs.
If people want to cherry pick stats and suggest that we’ve been lucky when we’re winning, I’m sure as hell going to cherry pick stats and suggest that we’re at least been unlucky enough when we’ve been losing lately that these sort of things should be pointed out and emphasized.
Dallas lost to Chicago tonight.. Losses happen. People are crazy lol
TBH, we have our backup in net a lot and it’s cost us. Demko, we need you!
