some of the worst plate umpiring I’ve seen in a series in a while
I’m gonna have a heart attack at some point. Still, Armstrong saved our ass in the 8th and got it down in the 9th eventually. Can’t complain and glad Pepiot looked great
I was having flashbacks to game 1 there for a second ngl
Good on Pepiot for looking his best yet. 11 Ks WHEW. Armstrong may have looked shaky in the 9th, but he had to clean up after Maton AND close the game since we didn’t have anyone. For that reason, he’s co-MVP.

I’m okay with Armstrong giving up a hit and walk in the 9th instead of the 8th.
Pepiot was straight dealing, that gives me some confidence for the rest of the season. LFG flappy boys!
I need to hire wickers and Yonkers to sue the rays for emotional distress for that one. Or whoever that law firm is that advertises a lot

How do we hit so badly in the biggest hitters park in the league?
Pete better be unhittable in Anaheim. I know he’s got a condition but he hasn’t pitched well thus far and if the wind makes him a no go in a game like today where the rest of the pen was already spent then idk what his viability is long term.
If the bullpen wants to pull this song and dance again like the beginning of last year we need to make some trades again or look at the waivers like with Diekman.
Eflin, Civale, Littel and Pepiot looks like a solid rotation. Hopefully the bullpen can improve.
