  1. If the trade doesn’t happen before the draft it’s not happening, Kraft needs a star and the team needs a story line.

Taking a rookie qb can solve both for Kraft, after getting flexed out of prime time I can’t see Kraft being ok with punting the qb position for anything less than robbery.

  2. Could be playing hardball to get the Vikes to throw in their 1st next year, but I’m hoping it actually plays out this way. That will mean we have confidence in whoever falls to us and build around a real franchise QB. Nothing else is as important, and we don’t know (sub pessimism aside) that we’ll be picking in the top 3 again or if a class will be this good again any time soon.

  3. Maybe this will put a fuckinf end to the “HURRDURR WE COULD TRADE DOWN AND BACK UP TO GET MHJ AND PENIX” 😂

Spoiler alert its gonna be Maye, Daniels and Williams going 123 (not in that order).

  4. Music to my ears, win win it’s either a smokescreen and we get a massive record breaking haul for the pick or we’re taking one of the two guys who deserve to be picked at 3 and have franchise QB potential. Prefer the latter but if a team gets stupid it’s understandable.

  5. Maye has the potential.

Daniels has the most college tape of any prospect in recent memory. Watch the tape. The speed factor wont be as large of an advantage because NFL players are faster and DCs will scheme better than college. He isn’t going to have receivers open by 2-3 yards anymore. He lacks the arm talent and vision needed to be a successful pocket passer.

  6. The Patriots need a QB most of all, have their highest pick since Bledsoe, and are going to have a chance at one of two very promising prospects. Trading down would be a monumentally bad decision and very likely the first nail in the coffin that gets Wolf and Mayo fired within the next few years.

Just take the QB, build the team around his strengths, and then coach up his weaknesses.

  7. Yeah I understand that some Pats fans think 3 first round picks is enough and if we were set at QB then I would agree with you but we need to land a Franchise QB.

If the Vikings are serious about moving up to 3rd then my price because of our overwhelming need at QB would be their next three firsts, this years fourth, next years second and third plus Jordan Addison.

I would accept Ivan Pace as a substitute for Addison but that would require in my opinion at least another third on top on that.

  8. Welp.there it is, you just can’t analyze it any more. Just waiting around at this point.

  9. Vikings are fucked because they don’t have a 2nd or 3rd this year and don’t have a 2nd next year, so the are severely lacking sweeteners for us to move off a guy at the biggest poistion and also skip out on guys like Harrison, Nabers and Alt. It’s gonna take 11, 23, ’25 1st, ’26 1st and even then if they think either Maye or Daniels could be the guy i’d imagine it would take more than that for them to be moved out of taking a guy they think could be the next franchise QB especially when next years draft class is weak for QBs and weak in general.

  10. Can’t believe anything this time of year but I’ll believe this because I like it

  11. Ooof. If true, seems the scouting department is still lacking. Jayden Daniels shouldn’t be a top 3 pick.

  12. I don’t get the hype with Daniels gong so early in the draft. He’s a 5th year senior playing with 2 of the best WRs available on the draft. He’s only 14 months younger Trevor Lawrence. I bet you Lawrence would have looked all world at Clemson and won the Heisman over Caleb Williams in ’22. I’m not saying he can’t be a good pro, but he was playing against 19 and 20 year olds as a 22 year old.

  13. It’s all going to be happy horseshit about what a great offseason they’re having, how refreshing the atmosphere is and how excited everyone is until the games actually start and the coaching is mediocre at best.

  14. This is the information you want to leak even if you hate both prospects and are aiming to trade back

  15. That’s what I am hoping, either take the guy at 3 or get something absolutely stupid and kick the qb can down the road to next year (because if the guy isn’t worth taking at 3, there isn’t a guy you view as the guy in this draft being available).

Wouldn’t take a qb in the first 2 rounds in this case unless JJ falls in your lap where you traded back to, the other 2 guys I don’t view as top 10 potential in the league and that’s not worth taking them if they don’t, might as well try to get another top player somewhere else in the 2nd if that’s the case.

  16. I wonder what an “enormous” offer would look like. 11,23 a 1st rounder next year and Addison? I assume the Vikings just switch to the cards/chargers at some point if they want JJ.

  17. I can’t wait to repost the article that laid out exactly what the patriots should and likely will do this off-season, because it’s going to be exactly right.

Retain your best players, draft the best QB available at 3 and sit him for most if not all of the first year, draft and develop a W, and hopefully make 1-2 big FA splashes in 2025. Slow and steady. I’m thankful for that the organization appears to be taking this approach.

  18. I’m torn because I have no confidence in either of those guys to be franchise QBs but I’ve been wrong a few times with QBs recently.

  19. Why does everyone think maye or Daniel’s are the next big thing 💀😭 I’d rather get a massive draft haul then either one of them, this would include 3 first from the Vikings and Addison
