i love this guy. plays every damn day and gives a shit. we are lucky to have him and anyone calling for his head after 8 fucking games should be embarrassed.

Let me be clear. Lindor is a leader, one of the major cogs of this team and has been worth EVERY PENNY of that huge deal. He has been a great Met. I support him 1000%!!!
Is this really unpopular here? This isnt early 2021 where fans had little firsthand experience with the type of hitter he is. He has shown the past 2 years that he has slow starts/bad months, then catches fire. Anyone booing/complaining just hasnt been paying attention or is dooming. Like I said last April when similar lindor meltdowns were happening, get back to me in July and we will talk about a down year for him.
ETA: The funny part is I remember a GDT last year on a sunday in late april (or may?) where Lindor had a good day batting RH and people were asking why doesnt he stop switch hitting because he sucks LH. Then he went on a tear and everyone forgot. Just saw some tweets about that this weekend so maybe he’s early this year lol.

I’m actively rooting for Lindor. That doesn’t mean he hasn’t been bad to start the year. It also doesn’t mean he won’t heat up.
I like to believe there’s a middle ground between “you gotta cheerlead a guy no matter what and should never criticize him” and “that guy is a worthless bum who should be DFA’d after 8 bad games”, but this sub sure seems to act like there’s nobody in the middle.
