  1. I still feel bad about yesterday. They’re going to have to win 10 straight to make up for it.

  2. I’m using a radically different set of emojis in my texts tonight compared to yesterday

  3. Shoulda been 3 Ws in a row. Oh well. Great pitching tonight. Get the series dub tomorrow. Go Cubs!

  4. 7-4 feels a hell of a lot better than 6-5. Great recovery W

Rotation may not be sexy but it’s full of dogs

  5. So funny seeing Padres fans go from “we’re back!” after winning one game, then back to reality. You should be 0-2.

  6. Glad that loss last night didn’t spiral the players like it spiraled me.

  7. I feel like Morel deserves more love this year. His 3B is obviously still in question. But the dude is the electricity and the vibe and love of this team.

  8. I really think the team has embraced the hitting coach and Counsel’s motto of just waiting for pitches, embracing the walks, getting on base and the rest will take care of itself. Everyone stop trying to get the home run.

  9. Yan Gomes post-game on his homer : “I was trying to have a moment there for a second, then Morel comes in and hits his first grand slam and suddenly it’s all about him”
