No shit. Was this ever in doubt?
It could be to make trading him easier he has a set non franchise tag or open market value now for next year. I hope they are smarter than us and have a plan to keep him under the cap next year, we will get answers soon.

He had a bad playoff game but has shown a lot through his career here that he can be called upon to make big time plays in coverage and depth at one of the most important positions is a must in this league.
I would also expect to see him extended to reduce the cap hit in 2025, similar to what we did with Jeudy.
