They suggested a straight up trade of Bogi+DJ for Ingram+Hawkins from the Pels. Now I’m normally one to roll my eyes at their writers trade articles but I would jump on this trade in a heartbeat.

The Magic or Pelicans seemed to be the most ideal landing spots for Murray. I doubt the Pelicans would give up Ingram but Murray really could be that lead guard they desperately need.

  2. On one hand, Ingram and Jalen seemingly play the same role. On the other, that role is to be versatile and well rounded and i dont think you can have too many guys like that. It would mean Hunter either comes off the bench or gets flipped for a defensive minded two. Pels wouldn’t do it but its fun to imagine.

  3. The reason you aren’t “rolling your eyes” at this trade is because Pels fans are.

  5. This would be the ideal return for DJM would I include Bogi though probably not

  6. – Depletes the backcourt leaving Trae and Kobe

    – Juggle minutes for Jalen, Hunter, and Ingram

    – Center is the biggest need

    This trade does more harm than good

  7. Not counting his rookie year, BI hasn’t played more than 63 games in a season. Currently out with an injury.

    Everyone is on Dre ass for being injury prone and missing bunch of games each season while BI on average plays same amount as Dre does.

    Hawks can’t really afford to have yet another injury prone player IMO, esp if he’s gonna play in a position that’s currently filled with injury prone player.

    BI is a good player but price is high compared to what Hawks would lose in order to get him. Especially if no picks are included.

    He has one more year on his contract & would be payed 36m while DJ is on 27 for the next season.

  11. I’m from Louisiana and live in ATL so biased towards both teams. BI and Murray have similar value to me. I like the swap from a basketball standpoint, but the Pels guys really like each other so not sure they’d do it.

    Hawkins has a lot of promise as a shooter. Seriously doubt they’d add him for an older player, but maybe Bogi has to be there to make the money work?
