The cops must have offered him some great plea deals in 1994. But he refused them all because he knew he didn't off anybody. Then the judge in the case about OJ's stolen souvenirs agreed that those souvenirs were indeed his, but because one of OJ's friends brought a gun when they went to retrieve them, that made the recovery operation a crime; and they threw the book at OJ for that gun. Those nine years behind bars OJ spent for that operation for sure should have been less than a year; if justice really had happened, he should have been able to just send some bounty hunters to retrieve his souvenirs, done and done.
