  1. On one hand, anyone has to be better. On the other hand, I’m more curious about how he’ll perform than enthusiastic

  2. Keegan looked solid in spring training, and after a rough initial appearance, he’s been great the last three outings at Iowa. As far as 40-man pitchers go, it was either him or Wesneski, and Keegan has been performing better, so it makes sense.

  3. Can’t believe we traded away Nelly who could be an uber valuable young rotational DH and outfielder for this tucking bum

  4. This is likely because they want to keep Wesneski stretched in Triple-A. Sadly, this likely isn’t going to upgrade the BP. His velocity is way down (2 mph) from where it was even last year. His release point issues have been fixed but his Cutter has lost spin and movement and his overall arsenal is frankly pretty funky right now in a bad way. Even when he wasn’t giving up runs, he was giving up much elevated launch angle and hard hits.

    I would expect he’s up to soak up some depth innings of needed. But that’s about it.
