I live in Sacramento and am excited to have a professional mlb team next year. Although our stadium is only 14,100 capacity (although maybe theyll add more capacoty as they are upgrade many of the facilities) i think it is great for us to have a team for 3 or 4 years. The A's will be better off in Sacramento than Las Vegas. We have a 2.4 million population in our metro and we are 80 miles from Oakland. Its safer here and we have the 20th biggest tv market. The A's also will be on the same network as they always have been. Besides Oakland had 10,500 average attendence last year so 14,100 sell out in Sacramento is a huge upgrade and lower costs to run this stadium and a lease for less than half the price which will allow the A's to at least spend an extra 10 million on salaries for better roster.
Oakland is a dangerous and dying city. Many people have moved from the bay area to Sacramento and we have a growing population here in Sacramento with nearly 2.5 million in the metro and its safer. They be in alot better financial and support of fans here
