The Hopium Train is Real

I've seen a lot of people recently jumping on each other with disagreements that surround all kinds of decisions within the Chargers organization recently. Everything from trades, draft picks, and even what the team will look like next year.

I just hope we can all agree that the Hopium Train is Real, and that things should get better from here.

  1. This sub is toxic every draft. Lots of salty people staying quiet and downvoting every different opinion, rather than positively contributing to the discussion.

  2. I’m stoked for the draft. The first one with a new coaching staff and gm is just tough bc no one knows what to expect yet.

Imo, the other thing to be most excited about is whether Harbaugh and Minter can get the best out of some of the guys on defense. There’s a bunch of 3rd-6th rd picks from the last few years who did nothing under Staley. If one or two of those guys have a good year we could end up feeling better about the depth on defense.

  3. I kinda feel like a lot of us are not used to having real leadership leading our favourite team. Let’s face it…. we’ve not had that since Marty Schottenheimer (well at least from a head coach stand point).

For the first time…we may very well have competent leadership from both a head coach AND a GM. I don’t know if we’ve ever had that luxury.

    That said… Keenan geta traded.

My knee jerk reaction is to froth at the mouth (which I did).

Then… After sleeping of my initial hysteria…I saw the wisdom in the move.

Now yes… I want one of MHJ or Nabers in the first round.

It’s really bloody likely that won’t happen. Will I be mad if that happens? Well…. I’ll be disappointed…but I’ll see the wisdom in it eventually.

I suppose my point is… For once….for once …we might be able to have faith in an organizational decision we all do not agree with (draft pick or roster wise) and know that the decision made was made in the best interests of the team.

It’s weird for me to type out cos I cannot remember a time where that was a legit thing in the past.

Trust in the leadership of our team?

I’ll end this post with this …

WHO HAS IT BETTER THAN US?
