it’d be great if we could stop alternating wins and losses
That was an incredibly weak effort in the 9th
Meh. Lots of missed opportunities. Odd to let VSII hit for himself to lead off the 9th. You have Siani to cover center if it gets to that
Herrera better be injured or else this was a managing disasterclass.
I wouldn’t have pinch hit Scott there because I’d rather take the chance to get some speed on the bases. But holy fucking hell Alec Burleson in for Jordan Walker???
not scoring second and third with nobody out cost us.
also, does Herrera better be in the damn lineup tomorrow…
alsoalso, stop PHing for Walker. he’s not quite right right now, but you don’t get right by sitting on the bench. he did have a triple and one of our two runs, today…
alsoalsoalso: I’m tired of this club being so unlucky.
The best part about Noot coming back should’ve been getting Scott out of the lineup. I love the kid, but he’s clearly not ready and actively hurting our offense. I get Noot isn’t a center fielder but I feel like he’s athletic enough to do alright there
Even with only scoring two, the offense has looked much better in Arizona than they have the rest of the season.
This was a very winnable game. I loved seeing the offense have some grit in the 7th and 8th. Last year, it would have been 9 up 9 down in the 7/8/9. Just keep making small progress game by game. Things will click…. I hope.
This team has an awful problem of hoarding assets.
Why do we have two + offensive catchers if we don’t plan to use them?
What is the plan for when we have Edman and Carlson back? Where will we find time for Donovan, Burleson, Noot, Walker, Gorman, Carlson and Edman all to play?
We hold on to these guys for dear life when the opportunity is out there to go get a Dylan Cease and actually build a team/rotation that resembles the real contenders. I love the players on this team and want them to win but God is it frustrating feeling like they would win more baseball games if I had John Mozeliak’s job.
This team seems better than last year. I’m tired of losing winnable games. We lost it in the 6th when we didn’t get anyone in with 0 outs and runners in 2nd and 3rd. Oh well. Winning series is the name of the game
This game was over after they couldn’t score with 2nd and 3rd nobody out
11 hits and we brought in 2 – ouch. Here’s to tomorrow, fellas Safe night
Someone please explain why Oli is devoted to pinch hitting walker with Burleson. Seriously, send walker down to get more at bats against right handed pitchers or quit taking the bat out of his hand. You can’t expect the kid to improve if not given these opportunities .
Are we the Maine Cardinals because we certain have a lot of LOB tonight
Oli isn’t the main problem with this team but by god he sure isn’t helping. We’re definitely off to a better start than last year but I’m not in the optimistic camp yet.
xBA 🙁
Some missed opportunities and a lot of bad luck. Not gonna raise the white flag already..
Biggest concern rn is Walker. He’s awful at the plate.
wow, what a bunch of useless questions for Oli in the postgame…
Runner on first and second, one out, down two.
Right handed submariner on the mound who induces a lot of ground balls.
Should Oli let the right handed batter that pounds the ball into the ground bat, or the lefty with power?
If they bring in a lefty to face Burleson, then Wynn gets a left and herrera bats for Scott.
It’s not even close, you guys freak out about the dumbest stuff.
Whoa whoa whoa, so you’re telling me that we’re now officially (at) .500???? But I was told we would suck..?
Ha, love for the birds to back it up. Fuck the naysayers. Every one of y’all, respectfully fuck off. This is a damn solid ass team and I’m happy to be a Cardinal!
2024 NLC crown is ours by October.
Well that was disappointing
