1. I love how Merrill doesn’t give very many canned answers. He always has something specific and unique to talk about, like bringing up the speakers and the booing. I remember yesterday he talked about how he was sitting on the fastball, and even though he knew the other pitcher had a slider or something, he wanted the fastball. Many other players would just say “I was just up there trying to make contact and make a play for our team.”
