30. I get it from a long term roster decision, but I definitely don’t like it. Vit held all of the leverage in negotiations right now, and with that we’d be bidding against ourselves with any offer we made. With him as an RFA, the team gets more leverage since they can match any offer and teams might be scared off because of that. I like Vit on a fair/team friendly deal, but given ownership’s issues with spending money you don’t want Vit on an above market contract

    On the other hand, unless converting him to a roster spot changes his RFA status then there’s literally no reason that they shouldn’t have cut Trent and converted Vit. Just unserious behavior from the FO

32. This front office pretty often makes move that contradict that they’re seriously contending. This is another example of that. If we really thought we could make noise in the post season then Forrest wouldn’t be on the roster instead of Vit.
