This Day in Kings’ History (1990): Kings eliminate the Flames in double overtime


On April 14, 1990, the Kings eliminated the defending Stanley Cup champion Calgary Flames in Game 6 of the Smythe Division Semifinals. Steve Duchesne scored two goals, and Mike Krushelnyski scored a miraculous goal in double overtime for a 4-3 win for the Kings.

  1. I was at that game.Loudest I’ve every heard it at the Fourm,the whole building was shaking.After the game my wife said she was scared because it was so loud and wouldn’t go to any more playoff games😂.

  2. I was the happiest kid in school the next day, and none of the other kids could understand why.
