  1. Take a page out of Philly’s book and give him a standing ovation.

But wait until Friday to give a shot.

  2. I have never seen a situation where Booing the home players resulted in them beginning to perform better

  3. Isn’t his response to getting booed when he was with the NYM what killed any fan support their?

Seems like maybe he’s the problem, not the fans.

  4. Well *not* booing isn’t working for Baez so I’m fine with them trying something new.

  5. Why are baseball fans always so critical of booing bad performance? I don’t think any other sport makes a big deal about it. And then outside of the US it’s way more common for fans to boo. I consider both cheering and booing part of the fans involvement in the game.

  6. You fools. White Sox Fans boo him every time he’s in town. I don’t even know why we do it. I think it’s because he was a Cub. But maybe he kicked somebody’s baby, who knows? I can’t say with 100% certainty he hasn’t

  7. Ugh, first the Reds last year and now Detroit fans booing their own players? Smh my head. The disrespect. Soon New Yorkers are gonna be doing it

  8. I still have no idea why the Tigers signed him to that deal. He was clearly starting to get worse and then they signed a high K-low BB player to play in that massive stadium? Made zero sense at the time and looks absolutely horrible now.

  9. I have never booed a home player. That is not my style. I just sit in my seat, shake my head and scream internally.

  10. The intention isn’t to help bro, they know you don’t give a shit and they’re letting you know how watching you play makes them feel.

  11. I wholeheartedly understand the boo’ing does absolutely nothing to help the team, but can we at least agree that Javi is Baez’d.

  12. I still love you bb

But I’m also really glad you didn’t take the extension the Cubs offered

  13. I would like to point out that he hit a home run that ignited a game-winning 8th inning rally last night, and not only was it not clipped, no one in this thread has mentioned it either.

If we’re gonna have fun circlejerking about Javy bad, wouldn’t it also be fun to point and laugh at the pitcher who threw a sweeper inside to him?

  14. No clue why the Tigers even signed this guy, most overrated player in the league.

    OBP is cringe af

over 40 ABs and zero walks LMFAO
