Yea Hronek was not good
Happy to see the third line have a good game. I’m also just not sure I love that line since it comes at the expense of sticking Suter and Mikheyev into your top 6. Suter is better but both of them have gravel for hands and the pressure will die whenever the puck is cycled to them. Mikheyev had 6 really good chances tonight and I think only got one shot off and the others were all flubs.
Come playoffs, I really think going back to the Joshua-Miller-Garland and Hoglander-Petey-Boeser mix is going to have to be looked at. Especially in home games when you can dictate matchups and get them extra shifts. On the road I can see why you’d spread it out a bit more.
that explains Hughes and Hronek’s “low” ice time. If they weren’t breaking out (and they did look a bit hemmed in sometimes in their own zone) then it’s better we get our mutant defensemen taking up more ice instead
It’s Opposite Day
Zaddys most defensively sound game as a Nuck I thought after watching that one. Did all the little things right, pinched at the right times, skated great, and cleanly laying out guys at ease. Going to be such a huge loss if this guy isn’t resigned, don’t care about the LD/cap situation. Just as a player we gotta figure out how to keep him.
Zadorov is a beast would love to re-sign him
