What do you think is the reasoning behind the Pirates handling of Skenes? I.e., why is he still in the minors and why hasn't he thrown more than 55 pitches in any outing?

Is it possible that he is recovering from some kind of undisclosed minor injury or the cumulative effects of fatigue after throwing so many pitches in 2023?
Lastly, why do you think he hasn't been called up yet? Are the Pirates waiting to build up his stamina?

Why doesn’t anyone understand that Skenes needs to stretch out and learn to pitch on 5 days rest? He’s never pitched over 125 IP in college. So you suddenly want him to pitch a full season of 180+ innings?
