  1. Should be noted that Kirk is Bassitt’s usual catcher, caught him almost every game last year. Can’t imagine activating Danny if he’s not fully healthy and would imagine he’s available to hit if needed and presumably will catch tomorrow.

  2. I think Schneider is going to start getting more playoff time against RHP, but Gil is an awful matchup for him. Should be a nice looking bench tonight if Jansen is available to pinch hit late.

  3. Babe’s out of the line up. Looks like we’re going to lose. Stats don’t lie!
    /s

  4. Schneider: Danny Jansen is reactivated today

Kirky: Thank god I need a break

Schneider: But Kirk you still need to catch Bassitt since you’re his usual catcher

Kirky: ….can do boss!! *[walks away sobbing]*

  5. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but you could at least move Kirk down to 8th in the order and put (gulp) IKF 6th since he’s one of the Jays best hitters and Kirk is easily the worst hitters in baseball right now.

  6. Bassitt is lucky I like him enough to forgive him having a preferred catcher and making me wait another day for Jano 😤

I’m still hoping they bring him in at some point though. It’s his birthday! And I’m wearing my Jansen jersey!!!

  7. I kind of want to boycott games in which neither Schneider nor Clement are played even though I admit that IKF is batting better than expected …

And we also have Biggio who has become our .310 /.396 hitter this spring

  8. Little side story about Jackie Robinson, two summers ago I went to New York with my parents (watched the jays beat the Yankees 😎) and we happened to stumble across the new Jackie Robinson museum. It was so new that it was free to general public at that time. I thought I had a pretty good understanding of the life that Jackie lived, but when I tell u how blown away I was at all that man had accomplished in only his 53 years of life. It was like he broke a barrier or had a massive personal and/or serving his community accomplishment every other year of his life. Would definitely recommend thar museum for anyone who loves baseball and makes the trip to New York.
