That said Bunting definitely brought some attributes we have been lacking and regardless of if you think the Jake trade was good or bad, Bunting himself has been a great addition.
It’s because the second line is now somewhat of a threat instead of just having the top line doing it all. The third line has only looked good when OConnor was playing with Ellers, Smith is a grown ass man baby who pouts when he doesn’t play with Sid, the 4th line is never in sync and the PP is more of a liability than anything positive. So if the second line can own some of the burden then Sid and Rust can play as effective as they have been which is the only way they have a chance to win.
