  1. It’s a fine line. Remember that one season recently where we were in one very vanilla offensive formation the majority of the time, more than any other team in the league, and the criticism was that we were too predictable? Simple is good, but not too simple…. Also, usually you want things simpler when you have superior athletes and talent; you usually need complex schemes when you know you can’t out-athletic or out-talent the opponent, and you need to try to out-maneuver or out-scheme them. I think the jury’s out on whether we’re going to be out-talenting anyone this year…
