  1. Some of the worst AB’s I’ve had to watch- ST and so far during the season. Larnach isn’t good, but I’ll take his mid-90s OPS+ in a heartbeat over whatever the fuck Wallner was doing. Getting things figured out in St. Paul will be good for him, and hopefully he comes back in some time looking strong again.

  2. What an awful start to the season for Wallner. Hopefully he can get his confidence back in AAA against minor-league pitching.

  3. Sucks but it needed to happen. If he can have just a 30% K rate he’s a future all star

  4. Yeah thats a move that needed to happen. I like Wallner but we need offense more than anything right now and his at-bats are not helping. Hope he gains back some confidence at the plate

  5. I hope Wallner can find is swing again in St. Paul. Aside from that, finally. He wasn’t doing shit at the plate.

  6. From the clips I’ve seen of Larnach this year it looks like he’s changed up his swing. It’ll be interesting to see how that translates to results in the game.

  7. I think this is the right move, because a Wallner who’s figured things out is an All-Star caliber player.

But I do think that because he’s a TTO type hitter, people overrate how bad Wallner is when he’s slumping. His batting average is .080, but his OBP is .273.

  8. I’m pulling for wallner but this is correct . Needed this before he becomes a gallo

  9. This is probably one of Larnach’s final chances to stick in Minnesota, I really hope he becomes who he was supposed to be

  10. Wallner needs this reset. Have him beat up on AAA pitching and rejoin when his swing is right.

Needs to play every day and can’t do that with the big club.

  11. Larnach hasn’t got a fair shake with all the back and forth between the minors/majors, pandemic, and injuries. Would be interesting to see how he’d do if he got a full healthy 400 AB runway. Wallner definitely needs some AAA ABs though.

Hope Larnach can put all that potential to good use.

  12. Larnach hasn’t played beyond an A ball rehab assignment this year. Surprised they didn’t give him a few games to get going in AAA.

  13. It’s a good move cuz Wallner needs a reset and we need to kind of know where Larnach is at. The downside of not being in a rebuild with so many young guys and the fact that we love to platoon is that guys can’t get consistent ABs everyday and possibly work through their issues and/or just show they don’t have a big league bat. Happy that we are competitive but do wonder how it might hinder progress for some young guns.
