In the 2020-2021 season, these were Lillard's playoff stats. Clearly he won't be the same player as much is different, but you can see that there is a difference in his playing type. He plays more minutes, takes more shots and more threes, and shoots more free throws while doing it in a much higher fg% and having better defensive metrics, too.

If we get a least a sliver of this, I think we can beat anybody and any team. One massively overlooked factor is that Giannis would have to handle all the offensive load, but with Dame even if he's not shooting the greatest, just his presence will help Giannis a lot. Let's hope Giannis is healthy and that Dame has a funder lit under his ass from all the stupid comments.

Furthermore, this year, Dame's average versus good teams has been much better than the rest of the league. The Bucks are 14-6 vs top 10 teams with him averaging 25.1/4.5/7.2 on 47.8/46.7/96.3, so I would be happy about that too. It's clear that a 33 year old Dame (and can't fault him for it) can't be arsed to play agaisn't some crapy ass teams that double him most of the game.

  1. It was the whole point to get Lillard. To have a PG that can contribute offensively in the playoffs and not shoot abysmally.

  2. You’re picking probably his best post season run though lol in terms of stats

  3. For the past 3 years, Dame has wanted just a chance to be in the playoffs to make a run for a title. For the people that think he’s not hungry or doesn’t want to be here, he knew what he signed up for and this here and now is what he wanted. He wanted this opportunity so badly he left his home and children. Win or lose, you can fully expect Dame to go all out.

  4. Fantastic stat that everyone in the media is conveniently ignoring, thanks for digging this up!
