  1. Tbh, this is probably how it’s going to get done as Jackson county was most likely not going to make a deal with the teams. Probably going to just imminent domain everyone in the area and reallocate funds.

I know there was some reports after the last vote about the state not being able to help but there has been some more recent reports saying that “The state of Missouri is looking at ways to keep the Chiefs on this side of the state line”.

  2. Good or bad, this is how it’s going to have to be the way it is for the city to keep both teams

  3. I don’t have a vote only an option and I thought the better area would be a north area park. They would have more control of what could be built because of space. The last setup I saw was the stadium across from TMO and then an open park like area? I get trying to please people showing you want to make a park to beautify the area but who is wanting that who wants the stadium? You built up north you can build apartments, bars/entertainment and parking garages. And yes put in your park with a pond.

Again just my thoughts as an out of county fan.

  4. im pretty ignorant when it comes to local politics and I dont currently live in kc anymore but where would the funds for a new stadium and arrowhead renovations come from if there is not a vote? im assuming tax dollars are still involved somehow?

  5. i love the K, but a after seeing the ranger’s new stadium in mlb the show i wouldnt mind a shiny new stadium of our own. i dont mind both outcomes.

  6. Dont lump Chiefs in with the Royals!!!!!  And downtown would have been amazing if they didnt fuck it all to hell last minute!!!  Woukd love to have a downtown ballpark like busch stadium, now thats a BASEBALL stadium and not a WALMART special like the K

  7. My only dealbreakers with any new Royals stadium: they have to have crown vision and fountains.

  8. “WAAAAAAH, THE POORS DIDN’T GIVE US WHAT WE WANTED SO LET’S EMINENT DOMAIN AND BACKROOM HANDSHAKE DEAL OUR WAY TO THIS BOONDOGGLE WAAAAAAAH!!!!!”

    —Sherman and Hunt, probably
