[97.1 The Ticket] Red Wings want it bad, especially for their captain: ‘We have to come through for Larks’

"He drives the bus for us every night," said Chiarot. "He’s our best player. Our captain. We go as he goes. Like you saw when he was out of our lineup, it’s a massive, massive hole for us. A local guy, playing for his hometown team, to be driving the group forward, it's impressive. Really happy for him."

  1. I too want it for larks the dude has had some much go against him on and off the ice

From day 1 he was tabbed as the future captain of the team that’s seen the whole rebuild, friends he came up with came and went

    He’s been injured

    He’s been doubted

    He deserves it

  2. >Red Wings want it bad

Do they tho…maybe now, when it could end up being too late if WSH wins tonight…goddamn I just cannot get over the fact that ALL THEY NEEDED was one more goddamn *point* to be in control of their own destiny right now…if they just managed to be a .500 team during March, we are looking forward to the playoffs. To me it is a huge choke. I guess I can just look at it as good experience to at least be playing meaningful games right now. Maybe they will get lucky and WSH loses tonight…but then again they still have to win. Which, at this point, i am not as confident in the likelihood as I would been in late Feb.

I think about the blown 4-0 lead to SJS earlier in the year…2 losses to the Yotes in March…lost twice to Washington when it counted….so so many opportunities to be in comfortably right now

Whatever, I’ll be watching the game and rooting for a win. 😭

  3. He drives the bus, pulls the piano, and plays the piano.

They better come through for him.

  4. Want it for larks unfortunately they don’t control their own destiny due to play down the stretch

  5. This makes me wanna cry and run through a wall at the same time.

    LETS FUCKING GOOOO!!!

  6. I want it for Larks as well but I want it even more for the long suffering fans. Also for Yzerman who has been taking a pummeling for the failure of the Yzerplan. His grace period has ended but I feel he deserves one more year, if not this one. He was captain for quite a stretch before success came and it was worth the wait when it did come.

  7. Gone are the days of people saying “he isn’t a 1c”, finally getting some respect and I have confidence he will continue to earn more and more of it. The future is bright my friends, enjoy the moment.
