It seems like a lot is going to be asked of Russ defensively in this series. How do we feel about this Clipper Nation?

1. Russ is vital. Would like to see him stay at 20-25 minutes

2. Idk about that Nico line man. Not trying to shit on Russ but Nico was guarding 1-5, rebounding, keeping the ball moving and hitting big time shots during that 2021 run in a 30 MPG role. Idk if that’s really the type of stuff we should be relying on Russ for.

3. Both sides of the floor matters. Hopefully he finishes the plays off with the board. So many times we get the miss and get outrebouded.

4. defensively I don’t worry about Russ.

5. This was a given once we got this matchup. This is a tough matchup defensively for many players on the team but fits Russ’s skillset

6. Hopefully it’s going to be his main job so he can focus all his energy on defense.

11. Luka sites not like being guarded by Russ. Go watch all the games this season, he would always ask for a screen to get away from Russ.

    I really think Russ’s energy and rebounding is going to be what pushes us over the top.

    And Norm being awesome!

12. this is what Russell Westbrook is supposed to do now. I’m not worried about him covering anybody under about 6-8.

14. Russ is an awesome off-ball defender. Mann’s our POA guy but Russ will be flying everywhere making rotations and playing free safety. He’s really the perfect guy to cover Luka’s passing lanes.

15. Russ’s energy boosts the hell out of his defense. I wouldn’t have believed it until he became a Clipper and I watched him every game. When he was reverting to Laker Russ, I thought we’d win again when he went down. How little did I know. He really is key to this team.

16. If Westbrook stays out of foul trouble from not gambling too much and referees not being whistle happy, his defense will give the Clippers some great possessions on the break.

    On offense he’s capable of giving you extra possessions with his athletic ability to bounce off the floor and tap the miss back.

17. 5 valuable fouls .. Russ is like the ultimate free safety

    I’m more concerned about his decision making on the offensive side

    They will leave him open on purpose all series
